Dexcool????
Flushed the Dexcool in the Corvette last week and noticed that the Prestone Dexcool jug indicated it was suggested for late model Nissans.
Anybody use this or another antifreeze for the 2007 Maximas??

I searched BITOG site and could not come up with any post or recommendation for OE Nissan or Peak Global Lifetime. Can you please point me in right direction there. Thanks for your advice.

yeah. toyota has reddish pink stuff, its for toyota only from what i understand.
VW has pink. is for thier cars only
newer hondas have blue.
GM/Chrysler have orange.
and everyone else has green. if you ask me its stupid, its just a way for them to make money, but if they say you need to use the correct coolants, i would.

There is SO much more involved than color. Silicates, phosphates, 2EHA, etc. Low silicate is not good enough. Toyota or Honda coolant MAY be OK, bur since I'm not sure, I would stick with Nissan or PGL. Many of the green U.S. sourced coolants contain silicates.
FWIW, I got a horrible answer when I called Prestone one time, I consider customer service operators one the LEAST reliable sources of information.

at the dealership, we got a bulletin stating that some of the newer model nissans may come with a blue color coolant. which is good for 10years/84,000miles. also noted that mixing the green with the blue will decrease the longevity of the coolant to something like 4-6 years.
