Fog lights, am i on the right track?

first off, special thanks to thealliance43 for the fog lights!
maybe you can also chime in here as i think your link pointed in me the right direction.
Now, i pretend to know what i am doing but I havent a clue on how to connect these fogs. I think, though I am on the right track.
i got a pair of h11 harnesses from some dude for $10, but he told me that i would have to take apart the end for it to connect to my bulbs because the adapter would not snap in, so i did....

As you can see, I removed the connector from the top wire. Which enables me to connect to the fog lights, as shown in this pic..

Keep in mind, after some thought, i'm not going for HID fog kit right now, maybe in the future. I'll stick to these stock ones. i've performed the 07 bumper swap on my 04 max. So with that being said, i took a look at a link thealliance43 gave on how to connect fogs. In that how to it says to disconnect the wiring harness from my headlights and cut the black and white wire...shown here from his write up

So do I connect the black and red leads coming from my fog lights to the black and white leads that are cut from the wiring harness that i disconnected from my head lights? Will there be a power issue?
Also, is it necessary for me to cut the wires? Could I T-tap into the black and white wires instead? just to be safe....I believe i will have to extend those wires...is 18awg wire correct?

Hey Triplet,

I think I will be having the same issue when I get the fog lights to do the full 07-08 bumper swap myself. I'm planning on going the HID route when I get them though. From what I was told I would need to get two things to make the fogs work:

--H3C Relay Harness (to connect my bumper fogs to the battery for power) though I'm not sure how to do that yet
--H11 Bulb Harness (convertsour 6th gen corner lighs into 07-08 fogs)

Getting the things are easy, it's just trying to make sure all connections are right that's the hard part, especially when you dont know virtually anything about lighting. I do need help trying to figure where what goes... at first I had it all figured out in my head then starting reading other threads and figured I didnt really know half of what I need to do... lol So any help would be appreciated!
