Window Opens itself When I close it...
When My front passenger window is opened and I close it from the switch on my door (drivers door)... I close it all the way and it opens up about 1/4 of the way by itself... I have to close it and keep my finger on the button all the way up until it closes completely...
Doe anybody know what Im taalking about and how I can fix this?

It sounds like the sensor for the window is messed up.. Like for example if you auto up your window and someones hand is going through the window it will go down by itself for safety issues.. This happened to my bro'z is300 and he took it to the dealer to get it fixed..

Many of us 5th gen folks have had the problem. I would assume that the fix is the same way.
There are multiple threads in the 5th gen area which explains how to fix.
It only takes a few minutes, but you have to follow the directions in order.
Good Luck.

mine used to do it, found out it was the aftermarket alarm setting, got it fix with reprograming of remote. then happened again after got back from body shop. reprograming of remote didn't fix it. replaced everything from door switch, window regulator, and rubber lining. ohh it stopped rolling back down an inch and just wouldn't go up without help. it turned out to be the window motor. works awesome now. your motor is probably on it's last leg. ohh the cost for everything was 360. no labor cost just time and smart shopping. nissan for all those parts would have cost 740. not including labor cost. i followed the service manual to the t. ohh the motor i found on ebay for half price which was the only place besides nissan that had it. drivers side that is. a1 cardone part. anyways save time and money, when window doesn't want to go up, check for obstructions and if there aren't any, replace motor.

I was sitting in the park enjoying the Summer breeze when I did it...took ten mins, now I don't have to deal with the embarrassment when I got a female in the car. Hahahaha. Get over your laziness and or your fear...get it done!!!

I agree, very embarassing. My car was down for a bit over a week because I allways roll with the windows down here in Hawaii. Plus I have to show my ID whenever I go home or to work which is like all the time.

My '03 Max did the same thing. I used to have the dealer fix it (for $50) until I did a websearch and figured out how to reset the timing. Not sure if it's the same for the 6th gen Max, but for the 5th gen you have to take off the door panel. There's a little button near the window regulator. Manually lower the window all the way (don't use the auto function). Push the button. Then manually raise the window (again, don't use the auto-close function) and press the button again. My would go out of timing about 2 per year - took less than 10 mintues to fix once I figured it out.

For my situation I think it was too late for me when I did the reset, because it didn't fix the problem. If you do this reset and your window continues to act up then more and likely you will have to get a new motor. I would try the reset first of course. very easy. like mentioned above just remove the inside door trim and there is a black piece of tape in the shape of a circle covering the hole. It is the smallest piece of black tape of the three on the door. the button is right there behind the tape.

So far, so good with this fix. Disconnected the battery, went inside and made a martini, 5 or 10 minutes later hooked it back up and all is good.
Thanks!

Finished!
The whole process including picture taking took about 15-20 minutes.
After removing the inside door panel you'll see this:
Here is the piece of "tape" that covers the button:
And finally behind the tape, the button:
Plug the window controls back in.
With the ignition key turned so the windows have power make sure the window is all the way up.
Press and hold in the reset button.
Lower the window without using the "auto down" feature while holding in the button.
When the window is all the way down release the button.
Finally, raise the window all the way up being sure not to use the "auto up" feature.
Your limit switch should now be reset.

Great tutorial here: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=129
The only difference is the service manual says to start at the rear of the aluminum trim piece and work your way forward so that's what I did. Otherwise it's pretty simple.
