Stock 2005 350Z caliper the same size as 2006 maxima?

Quick question
As far as dimensions go, is the caliper on a 2005 350Z the same as the caliper that is on mine (a 2006 SE)??
I mean stock, not brembo
Or are all 350Z equiped with brembo stock?

I searched but all I could find was the threads on the brembo conversion and not sure if that is stock or not.

But yeah, basically I justneed to know if the size of the caliper itself is the same.

I did the 300Zx conversion.
Just got a used parts online and painted them...
and yah, not really feeling it, so now on to the next idea...caliper covers.
I know tons of people on here will say don't do it, but you can save your energy; I will try it out, just wondering if the size of the calipers are the same
I am looking at the mgp caliper covers for the 2005 nissan 350Z
Thanks guys.

Dont think the fronts work. I put 2003 350z rears on my 2007 maxima and they worked. No not all 350z have brembos. I also tried 2006 350z front because they were dual piston on my front and they wouldnt work.

theres options , I think you should stick with the Z32 calipers , they are 2 pistons and will stop on a dime. My buddy with a TTZ swears and lives by OEM NISSAN BRAKES , he makes over 550whp on his TTZ and all he did was added a bracket , for 13 inch rotors and better pads. Nissan made great brakes.

your option would be to get them powdercoated, That would be the best way to go or like me I went fully polished.

hard to tell in this pic but I have other pics somewhere

Also your first question , Ive compare STOCK 2003 350z VS 2004 Maxima Calipers , they are the same but the Z seems to run thicker pads or I could have been just comparing new pads to semi-worn pads.

In any case its the same.

The piston on the 350z caliper is a little bigger. Also if you run 350z rotors they are vented compared to non vented on the max. I would go the z32 route and 13" rotor.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

So scratch what I said up there b/c their site said they have the 2005 caliper cover but now the guy says they have 2006 -2007- 2008 but not 2005 (that one is currently in production)

So I went to google calipers for 2006 350 Z and 2006 Nissan maxima and many aftermarket caliper that say oem fitted show the same part number...so maybe they are the same? Not sure.

Basically the biggest thing is if they're the same length, cause the MGP covers have clips on them to that "clip on" the ends of the caliper.

I just wished the ZX calipers were a little bigger. I got the non twin turbo version so Its not the lighter version, so I am not really gaining that much... +I know I am obsessed about the looks over performance, but you gotta understand I don't autocross. And if I did, I would just get a bbk, but no $ for that right now.

I painted the stock calipers with G2 kit but I am tired of re-coating it every few months. plus these are powder coated.

So i want these. I am sure many are thinking they're ricy, yadi yada lol but I think getting the ones without the logo and putting a nissan logo on it is just as ricy as what I did before which is paiting the stock caliper and putting a nissan logo on it.

Not wanting to upgrade rotors or brakes, just want my stock calipers to be covered with the mgp. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

I have new rotors and pads, my car stops fine. Just want a little puh-zazz on it.

I think my first post is misleading when I said I wasn't "feeling the zx calipers." I didn't mean how it performed, but I meant strictly how it looked. Deus gave me the link to his conversion and followed what he said to do and after a little modification, I got it working just fine. But now I am bored with the look, and want it to look different. I have seen some other really cheap caliper covers but this one so far is the one that looks half decent, powder coated, easy install, and I am willing to give it a shot.

First of all the 300zx calipers are 4 pistons, not two. With Matt Blehm's bracket, the caliper bolts on. Secondly, the 350Z rear calipers and rotors bolt on to our car with no modifications, and you get a slightly larger piston and vented rear rotors.

With Hawk pads and SS lines I have really solid braking with much less fade.

With regards to look, I find the 300zx calipers to look great on our car. You have the "Brembo look" without the Brembo price. The NISSAN logo gives it a performance-factory look. I am extremely pleased and the brakes are one of my favorite mods - cheap, easy to install, flexibility with brake pad choice, and great looks.
