Locked inside the car-could not unlock doors

2007 Mexima has 50K...used as a DD commuter by my GF. Thurs she called me in a panic. She left work, started up the car, and all 4 doors locked without any action by her. She tried the unlock button on drivers door panel and then the fob and then put the window down to try the unlock device in the door handle. In all tries, the doors would unlock and then immediately lock up.
She drove over to Nissan dealer and they used the metal key in the driver's door and held it in unlock position while they pulled the door handle. Success. Door opened and then immediately relocked when the key was relaxed.
They called me Friday to say they thought it was a door control module and they ordered one from Nissan and it will be here Tuesday.
I'll follow up with the end of the story then.

Anybody else run into this???

Thanks.

Not really a random issue. Mine did that a about a month ago for about 3 days. unlock/lock/unlock/lock. Although I didn't get locked in the car. It did clear itself after a few days and I have not had the issue again. knock knock.

Problem solved; case closed

Nissan dealer tech replaced the left front door actuator. Should have been a $600. bill but the service writer got Nissan to suck up all but $150. for me as a goodwill repair. If I replace this car with another Nissan product, I'd give this dealer the first and last crack at the sale. Their service department is excellent.
