Wierd noise... please help!

Dear fellow maxima owners.. just wanted to begin saying by am I a complete noob when it comes to cars and there problems as this is my first owned car.

Now my issue is that i own a maxima 06 with 105 miles on it.. and I started noticing this weird sort of grinding and wrenching sound the whole time I brake while slowing down to a complete stop. This sound seems to occur on every wheel rotation. I am taking the car to the mechanic since it is under warranty but want to assure he is looking in the right spots and doesn't just say he tightened a couple screws and its all better because i think its more serious. I love my max and hate to see her in such pain lol..would could this be? Please help!

Thx in advance

Is the mileage you quoted correct 105 miles on a 06 or does it have more???? If it has more your brakes might be worn out and eating your rotors away eveytime you use the brakes. If you really have 105 miles on a 06 which I doubt unless you bought it in 06 and stored it for 4 years than your brakes might be shot and need replacing. I would suggest getting it looked at asap before you ruin your rotors unless its to late already which will make your repair bill more than triple if you have to replace your rotors. If your brakes are worn out and you did damage your rotors beyond there limits to resurface that's considered wear and tear you might have to pay out of pocket for that i haven't heard of any warranty's to cover that unless you just had brake work done.

The dealer said that new brake pads were installed on the car right before I purchased it.. I just came back from a body shop and after a test drive they concluded that the rear discs needed to be changed.. they are mounting it on wednesday to further inspect the problem..time to pull out the wallet.. the sound is just awful tho

If they're not covering it, pick up new rotors from an auto parts store and throw them on. Save yourself 100's.

So I went to the dealership just so that they could inspect the car free of charge (didnt plan to fix it with them) and they concluded that the issue was that both rear brake discs were warped..(they removed them and put them into a machine to test whether they were warped or not). so I was only charged 100$ for 2 new brake discs + 1hr labor (even tho it took them well over an hour) at 65$/hr. Needless to say i am extremely happy that she is fixed and that that awful noise is gone!
