WILL IT RUB!!
like the title says can i go with 15mm spacers in rear without modifications with stock 18" wheels and tires? seems like have to trim the carpeted fender liner where it sticks out (look where the rear bumper mounts to the rear fender)..anyone with the 15mm in the rear have problems rubbing with the carpet? if so how to trim it just cut it out? im also putting 15mm for the front and 15mm for the rear with eibach pro-kit..
any help will be thankful

Saw your message, figured I'd post here. FYI, I'm lowered on Progress springs and KYB struts and shocks with 10mm spacers in front, 15mm in back.
I'm not 100% sure because I trimmed my fender liner to fit my aftermarket wheels and tires with the 15mm spacers BEFORE I put my stocks back on.
If my logic is wrong, please someone correct me. Doing some general math (assuming that the tires have the same diameter and shape), my aftermarket wheels are 8.5" wide with a +42 offset. Stock is 8" with a +40 offset. 1" = 25.4mm, so 1/2" = 12.7mm, and 1/4" is = 6.35mm. Now 6.35mm - (42-40) is 4.35mm, so my aftermarket wheel sticks out towards the fender about 4mm more than stock. I was rubbing pretty bad with the aftermarkets, but once I trimmed the fender liner AND the bumper mounting tab, I had absolutely no rubbing at all. Don't take my word for it, but I believe stocks with 15mm spacers and no trimming would be fine. Personally, if I put my stocks back on I want to do 20mm in the rear and 15mm in the front. I tried a 15mm one in the front and loved how it looked, but it made the 15mm in the rear look sunken in.
As for the modding, I cut the fender liner with some heavy duty clippers, it's pretty thick. I trimmed the tab with a dremel. All in all it was pretty easy to do, and definitely worth it if you want to lower your offset. Not everyone is a fan of modifying fenders to fit wheels, but whatever, it's our cars. Any other questions, just ask away.

Oh yeah, that math was just relative to my aftermarket and stock wheels, because I bought the spacers for the aftermarket wheels and used the same spacers on my stocks. On that note, my effective offset for the 8.5" wide aftermarkets lower from +42 to +27, and the 8" wide stocks lower from +40 to +25. From what I remember, it did look like I could squeeze a few more mm with my aftermarkets, so I may be able to use 20mm in the rear and 15mm in the front, which would mean that with the stocks I'd probably be able to use 25mm in the rear and 20mm in the front.
