Installing GTR Bumper need help!

Hi, my GTR Front Bumper is in the paint shop and will be ready to pick up soon. I'm pretty sure taking my stock bumper off will be no problem. However, there are no pre-drilled holes or clips or fasteners of any kind on the new GTR...

Can anyone Please guide me as to what parts/tools I need to pick up from the autoparts store, or Home Depot? I wanna make sure when I put this puppy on, it will stay on lol! Thanks.

I probably would have determined what you needed or needed to do BEFORE taking to paint shop. I trial fit my RLM bumper and Ill need to modify the holes and possibly reglass the attachment area. Your bumper probably just needs holes drilled.

honestly you should have pre drilled the holes before they painted, if your confindent to drill the holes and align it then purchase the metal c clips that you can use bolts to fasten them down on on the fender, the ones near the radiator are clip in by plastic fasteners.

you will need at least 1 person to help you out,

if your not confident , i would pay the extra money and have the body shop do it for you

Thanks a lot. I was going to test fit before, but didn't have the time. Guy I have painting for me needed it now or never- type of deal. I was rushed. Guess I figured I'd be able to align it and secure it still> after painting. He HAS offered to install though.

start with the the 2 holes up on top (near the headlights), you can use the same clips that the oem bumper was using, you are going to have to guesstimate where the hole is, but since is a pretty big hole, you can start with a really small drill bit, once you have drill through the bumper and kind of know where the mounting hole is, you can use a bigger bit to make the little hole on the bumper bigger to match the mounting hole, once you have those done, you need to drill two more holes on the upper tips of the bumper (near the wheel well,) to get a couple of self tapping screws into the sheet metal, and that is it, you will have to discard the lower oem plastic pieces.

use a step up drill bit for the holes near the headlight , and one hole and step it up if its too small for the clips, you dont want to go too crazy and drill a bigger hole and the clips wont be secure and loose

I installed mine fairly easy. But did some slight custom work to secure it my way. F.Y.I!!! Doing some extra work on the GTR Kit was a personal preference thing.
