Is this really an argument? Modding a car will always skew the spectrum. If I put full exhaust and CAI I may just outrun a stock Maxima. Thats what should happen. When arguing this compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. Every Maxima generation gets faster, use a reputable source such as caranddriver.com, motortrend.com, etc. and get the numbers for a STOCK Maxima and compare them.
This forum is getting really useless really fast. I dont even come here half as much as I used to because these threads never stay on topic. If the moderators at my6th were here, this whole forum would be much different. But hey, some people like this type of forum. You can read for hours and not learn ish except for ignorance and how cool twentyeggs is.

That said, we're inclined to give a pass on the underhood machinery because it delivers the zoom. Zero to 60 comes up second quickest of the bunch, just a blink behind the Toyota at 6.1 seconds. Top speed outruns all the others at 139, perhaps a useful quality for those North Dakotans a long way from the maternity ward. Stopping was better than average at 181 feet from 70 mph, and road adhesion outgripped all the others at 0.80 g

I tried digging up the post I read to show Rochester, but it was from one of the social forums. None of the technical writeups are written in texting shorthand, but quite a few of the responses to others' questions are... more compact than on here. Maybe it's that the kind of dude who drives a 6th gen is more likely to be posting from a phone.

Yes I am. Reviews don't mean shet to me. Everyone is different, everyone drives different, different areas, different pavement, tires, air. A stock 6th gen might run 5.1 in Colorado while another 6.7 in California. Everything comes into play when talking about squeezing every second out. Nobody is whining dip shet. Alright guys I started this shiZz so let me put a end to it. As of right now it looks like the 5.5 gen is faster stock compared to the 6.5 gen stock. Now that we know this let's all go to sleep on that note. As a 6.5 gen owner I am starting to think I should of bought 2010 maxima but oh well there will be a next time soon enough to get another max or G. Thank you for everyones thoughts and advice and research

Well nobody really has a stock Maxima either they got intake, exhaust, headers, pulley, lightweight flywheel, cams, or some have all of the above....then aftermarket rims lighter than stock , some Turbo some Supercharged some N/A....to find a stock one it probably wont be on this forum it will be you rolling around and bump in to some old lady with a stock Maxima or old man.....
