where to get 12 volts from the "ON" signal.

hey, waz up....

I am two toning my headlights, and installing some 3mm super bright led's to accent the headlamps and to also act as DRL.. I am wanting to turn the power on the led's with the "ON" position of the ignition. Any one know of an easy spot and circuit to use to tap into this 12vdc?

I am planning on doing this next weekend, since i have a 4-day vaycay. i will post pics of the mod..

any help would be great, and save some research time...

just be lazy and tap into your fuze box, many accessories turn on with the first key click. LED use such low voltage that you don't need to worry.

or just do what i did and splice into the existing wires that power your head lights. i believe your turn signal lights turn on in the ON position.

Can't wait to see some pictures!

I did this before on my other car and used the cigarette lighter to tap into since I don't smoke and didn't use it.

Well, I did some poking around last night after igot home from work. On 6.5 gen, if you take a look at the fuse block, there is an empty fuse slot on the right column of fuses. I believe it is the fifth from the bottom. This spot is powered by, what else, but the "on" signal. Problem solved.
