Purchasing new tires

Im looking for a good all season tire for my max. Is anyone running Kumho ecta LX Platinum?? I live in Minneapolis so a balanced UHP tire is definitely needed.

Dumb question: What is UHP? All season as in driving in the snow too?

The LX PLatinum is a Grand Touring All Season, not an UHPAS.

I've no experience with it, but the TR survey doesn't have that good ratings of it:

Here are the current survey results for UHPAS:

The Conti DWS are supposed to be great for the money, and some sizes are on closeout now because apparently they are revising it.

I just put Yokohama yk580 on my 2006,,,,,huge improvement over the RSA's

The Conti DWS was also one my contenders.

The Yoko warranty, and reviews pushed me over the edge

Bought a brand new set of general g-max as-03 in size 255-45-18. they have a great rating on TR and i got them for what i think is a good price in the BX. ive only had them for a few hundred miles but imho they r great tires. i like the tread pattern. if they last at least 2 years with the same grip i would love to get another set. i heard that continental makes general....don't know if thats true but who cares they r great.
