Air Conditioner problem help!

I dont understand it The other day It started blowing warm, so I took it and had the lower A/C hose replaced for about $430 dollars. Then I bring it home its super cold and then a week later I turn it on and its warm. So I hear a hissing weezing sound when I turn the A/C on. Leave the car off for a few hours and its blowing a little cold. I dont know what's wrong with it, but I live in Texas and this A/C is my lifeline.

Sounds like a leak. When you had the low pressure hose replaced did the mechanic ask you about adding the dye? Usually A/C jobs has a 90 day freon warranty. Take it back to the shop and make sure to ad the dye to determine where the leak is coming from. Or could be your compressor. If it is then it will cost you more than $430. Good luck!

What ever it is, get it taken care of asap. If freon is leaking out then moisture is getting in. Too much contamination and other components like the compressor or condenser must be replaced too. It will get real expensive real fast making that $430 just a drop in the bucket.

I lost heat and it was a simple cheap fix changing this modulator thing under the glovebox for $80, but this is probably not the case.
