Throttle Body Install - Reprogram Computer?

I had to buy a new throttle body unit because I was told I could not buy just the "throttle position sensor" I threw the following codes: P2135 and P0507 and my car was starting to stall when slowing down or coming to a stop. I have to put the car in park, turn it off and then restart and everything is fine.

I have searched for about a half hour and I can't find an answer as to whether I need to get my computer reprogrammed after I install my new throttle body. I was told yes by the dealership, but after talking to a few people they thought it was weird that I woud need my computer reprogrammed.

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE

After installing the new TPS, I was able to reset the computer and had the computer go thru the following relearn process that I found on this site:

My car now idles at 600rpms versus 2000rpms and I don't have to take the car into the dealership. Yes!
