HELP! Lowering springs problem
What's up everyone I just recently drop my 04 maxima. It's sexy and everything but it's not slammed. But I keep scratching something that's under my engine like its a metal piece that I keep hitting. I was wondering if that can come off so I don't have to keep scratching it? After that the ride would be better. If you dropped your 04 maxima or your 6 Gen can u please help me thanks.

How did you drop it with springs or coilovers? What brand? If I were you I would jack the car up to see what exactly is hitting and like dalastdon says if it's your oil pan, you might want to think about raising it back up. Btw, any pics of the lowerage?

it does take time to settle, but every set ive done looks lowered some as soon as they are installed. Somehow I cant see those settling two inches lower than they are. I would double check that the correct springs were installed and maybe call in to the manufacturer.I took out McPersons two times and checked that they're installed correct... ok, so when after about 2000 miles civic still won't lower then I'll ask the manufacturer.. It'll be little problematic, coz I'm from Europe, but bought it in US...

To be honest, you may be hitting your Y-pipe. Also, i didnt think Megan made springs for the maxima, I think they make them for the Altima. and the Altima ones while transferable to the maxima, offer a lower ride but cant handle the weight of the maxima. I remember a thread on the other org. Let me see if i can find it. I personally would not have gotten the Megan. None the less it does give the car a slammed look, however you may need to replace axel's and other parts sooner
