Both radiator fans stopped working at same time

I have a '04 Maxima and both of the radiator fans stopped working simultaneously. I stated thinkg a fuse or relay so I called the parts dept. at my local nissan dealership and they had no listing for a fuse or relay for the fans. They suggested that the fan assembly could be bad and to bring the car in. I find it hard to believe that BOTH fan motors went out at the same time.

Anyone help me on this?

the fan is an electric fan, trace the wires and look for a cut in the wire. Make sure car is off and don't just run your hands across the wires. Don't get shocked in other wards. There has to be a fuse. I will check the service manual in the mean time.

http://www.mediafire.com/?jf5o9w55tkqamq8 I think your dealer may be right. If it is not the wires, or where it plugs in, then the fan might need replaced. I would check the wires first, then the plug. Then hook up a multi meter to see if power is getting to the plug, then reconnect the fan and check power at the motor. Hope this helps.

For them both to stop working at the same time, it would likely be fusible like "L". It is located in the fuse box between the battery and the engine. To diagnose the fan's if it is not the fusible link, unplug both fans, start the car, turn on the ac, and let it run for a few minutes. Once the temperature gauge starts to get close to normal both fans should have kicked on by then. The AC fan should kick on before the radiator fan though. Check for voltage on both fans being careful not to overheat the car or get burned. No voltage means the problem is not the fans.

drivers side cooling fan not working.

[I've changed out all of the relays and relpaced the fan only to still have just the Drivers side fan not working. Where are the fuses related to the electric cooling fans?
