I think most folks wouldn't like them. I'm not one of those

What is the offset and dimensions (22x9.5 or 22x8.5) and series tires? I could get some 20's cheap, but I'm afraid I will want bigger.

If you can live with being laughed at, and you like what you see regardless, then I think what you think is all that matters.

A lot of people confuse being noticed with being respected. But sometimes respect is overrated or unnecessary, so no worries.

There's only a few guys on here with 22's including myself and a lot of them will tell you to sell it and go smaller. You can do that but you'll have to lower your suspension to make it look good. 17-20" rims will require you to lower it to get rid of the ugly maxima gap that come more and more obvious when you have low profile tires. My remedy for that is I have like 5 sets of rims and I swap out for the occasion so I just pay the guys no mine when they laugh and make fun of me....

Oh and did I mention that I lowered her 1.5" in the front and 0.5 in the rear??? So that application can support my 22's for my show mode and daily driving, 18's for fall and spring, 18's for race mode, and 17's for winter. The point i'm making is choose rims because you like it and for you own reasons, not others because on the org the majority of guys hate seeing maxima's with anything over 19's

i draw the line when mods limit functionality.

22 rim on a max is not cool.

Being slammed so you can't clear 3" speed bumps is also... not cool.

same thing

It looks good tho, but we all know they don't fit. don't you rub and grind? how did it affect its turning radius? what do you mean you can't go past 90 without problems?

Exactly, the main thing you said was "I", it's "his car so if he wanna put 22's on I don't see why he can't. Maybe after a while when he smash a rim or have to raplace the tire he might want to change or go smaller when he see how much it cost, so just like everyone he has to go through his own phase of getting certain things outta his system.

IMO it doesn't look to bad, as long as he stay away from all that chrome ebay ish.

Road noise come from noisy tires not wheels. Usually cheaper tires tend to make more road noise.

Honestly bro its your car so you can do what you want, as long as your satisfied with the outcome then go for it.

I think a bigger rim on 6th gens work out well because of the body style and how the fender wraps around them so nicely(if that makes sense lol). The only downside I could see with a bigger rim is the extra weight it puts on the powertrain.
