Hi all. I just wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up a 2004 Maxima and plan on it being my daily driver for now. Im also a member on the titantalk and clubarmada forums. I guess you can say im a nissan fan because I also have an 07 Titan and 10 Armada for the wife.

Ive been doing some reading already on maintenance and troubled area for the max. So Im looking forward to learning more about the maxima just like I learned about my Titan.

welcome, how many miles on your 04? Automatic or manual? If auto, do you have the yearly 4 speed automatic or the later 5 speed automatic?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

I have a 5 speed automatic. It came with 138K on it. Im currently in the process of doing a drain and fill on the tranny using matic K fluids. I just changed out the camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor. Im also going to do a coolant and power steering flush. I ordered some Iridium sparks plugs, pcv valve and two rear hubs. So far things are going well.

Im loving the Max so far but my Titan still puts a smile on my face when it comes to smashing from a dead stop.....

Please let me know if its some other maintenance that I need to also do please. Ive called the dealership to get a quote about the tensioner, timing chain and guides. Their price is 1350 installed which isnt bad.
