2004 Maxima running bad any ideas?? Any help please

I have a 2004 maxima it's idling a little bad but the worst is it dies sometimes and sometimes won't start at first I thought it was the fuel pump but I tested it and the cam shaft position sensor and timing sensor hit... Also while driving the power goes away like if u push the gas it does nothing then after a second r two it comes back an is fine does anyone have any ideas what this could be???

Even if we wanted to help, you did not list any CEL codes.

Car dying can me attributed bad timing or bad fuel. Has anyone recently done the timing tensioner job on the car? Messed up timing can cause the random stalls. Crankshaft position sensor can be bad and not even trigger a cel, usually will indicate itself if the car takes bit longer than normal to start. Start the car and check the battery voltage, should be 14.7ish.

It usually starts right up but dies soon after and is hard to start afterwards ... Sometimes runs fine but the gas mileage is horrible r sometimes won't run at all... It's always diff nothing since I gave had it had been done to the timing belt r anything to do with it .... Although there is a ticking noise right at first when u start the vehicle till its warm

If gas mileage is crap it might be your O2 sensors but it would throw a code. You probably have a leaky injector. Pull out the fuel rail and put bags on the injectors and hook up the battery. Injectors should not leak while sitting.

There are many posts about this, it is your Camshaft Position Sensor. Might even be both sensors. Replace with OEM only, Autozone ones seem to have issues. Do a thread search for Camshaft Position Sensor in the 6th gen section.
