Intelligent Key Not working

I've posted this before on some other thread, but had no success in getting answers. I have an intelligence keyless fob for a 2007 Maxima. I have tried the instructions posted by someone else here. I locked all the doors from the driver's side, and proceeded to insert the key into the ignition 6 times as instructed, but to no avail, because the green flasher lights NEVER come on! I've inserted a fresh new battery seated the right way and still nothing!! Were these the instructions for reprogramming the keyless fob? Am I missing something or should I be doing something else to get the fob to work. I dread having to take my car in to the dealer. Thanx! -Kd

The instructions you found here are solid, but you MUST follow them precisely. The key MUST be inserted and removed in 1 sec intervals as well. I used them for an '01 fob on my new(er) '04 and it worked like a charm. Or maybe the Fob is shot.

Good luck.

The fob must be shot, because I followed the instructions precisely as indicated -several times. It's time to dump the old gray mare (Nissan) and buy a BMW. Thanx for the post. -Kathryne
