I can confirm this works on the 2004 Maxima. My friend and I work at the same place. Over lunch we warmed up the car to operating temp and advanced his timing. After work we both had to drive to a work meeting. We hooked up the OBD2 adapter again with the app to confirm that the timing advance stuck after the drive. It did.
