P1706 Park/neutral switch maxima 2004

Hi guys, this is my first post.

I am owner of my 2004 maxima since one year now and I have a check engine (service engine soon). I looked at it with the obd2 of a friend and it's the P1706. "the park neutral switch problem". I have a manual (6spd) transmission, so I know the problem is the neutral position. People ask me if it had a swap (auto to manual), but I'm sure it's not.

This code appeared last year, but when I changed the alternator, it was gone. It reappeared this summer, I erased it right after but it reappeared today.
I looked in the forum and I never see a post about it for the 6th gen maxima
I was wondering if it has happened to someone, what kind of problem could it be and what could I do to fix it.
I hate having a check engine.

I am sorry for my english writing, my first language is french, thank you for your understanding.

Make sure the connections are clean and seated securely. All else fails, replace the PNP switch.
