ok so here goes , i just bought this 04 maxima, it was a reconstructed title, well i guess they seen me coming!! i was in a hurry for a car, well NEVER AGAIN!!!
anyway....we went to change the o2 sensor and BAMMMM!!! WRONG ONE!!, so i type the numbers up on the old sensor on google and it comes up for a 06, and my exhaust does look like the 06 rather then the 04, with this being said..... how do i find out if my motor is also a 04 or 06? or even 05, these ppl did not tell me anything, im at my wits end any help would be appreciated!!!!

 

You need the vehicle history to see if the engine was replaced or take it into a shop and have them look at the numbers of the engine to find out. The sensors from what I understand are not any different between the 04 and 06. http://nissanhelp.com/diy/maxima/pro...r_location.php

 

uhhhh so much trouble with this car now , we check the fuses and the woofer fuse and the o2 fuse was out so we changes them....aaahhh then turned the key over and guess what?? smoke came from the fuse box!!!! NOW MY SCREEN,AND MY RADIO WILL NOT WORK AND MY AIR IS STUCK ON!!!!! IM gonna have to take it to the dealer and let them just have at it!! oh and my dash lights do work except when i turn my headlights on!

 

why was the title reconstruced? Flood? Accident? Theft recovery?
