In-Dash GPS

Hi guys i was wondering if any of you installed an in dash GPS kit, factory or custom.. I am thinking about adding a GPS but i don't really like the idea of the portal GPS and buying a mount for it. Anyone do this? if so, pictures? links? Where did you buy it or have it installed?

Installed it myself. Just a matter of takeing it all out, plugging the modules/adapters, splice all the wires between the radio and modules, then reassemble in reverse order.

http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...y-4-200-a.html This is old, but still works. I will be posting an update once I finish my Tablet install. I am putting a Nexus 7 in and taking out this gps unit.

Please tell me how you were able to keep the trip computer ie temp, mpg's, etc. screen working in conjunction with the new head unit. Any advise would be music to my ears. Thank you.
