Nissan Maxima Transmission Problem - Northern Virginia

Stuck in 5th gear. Have seen some of the discussion of this but am not a do it your selfer for transmissions -- anyone in this area I can trust with this problem, diagnosis and fix? 2006 model year.

Do you have a check engine light on? If so what are the codes. Might be the Camshaft Position Sensors and not the transmission.
