Is it my wheel bearings?

Ovwer the last week or so I have been experiencing a hum/whine in the rear of my car as i drive. As I speed up the pitch is higher as I slow down the pitch is lower. I am assuming it's my rear wheel bearings. I have 90,000 miles on my 07 Maxima. Does this sound like the problem? If so how difficult are theyt o replace? I have the tools and can change brake pads and rotors but thats the extent of my knowledge..... Can you reccomend a place to get install instructions?

If it is indeed the rear bearings they are easy. 4 bolts from behind the assembly. Have to whack the rotors a bit to get off but no big deal.

Definitely sounds like rear wheel bearings but keep in mind if you've recently changed your tires or if they are worn that can also cause a humming aswell. For myself I have winters and summer tires both on rims and the winters can tend to hum a little where as the summers the noise tends to go away.

Best way to tell is jack up the back of the car, give the wheel a spin and listen. If there is a whine or grumbling noise, then the wheel bearings are on their way out.
