Busted Trunk Latch
Longtime lurker, first time poster.
My trunk no longer closes on my 2007 SL! I'm pretty sure the problem is with the locking mechanism in the bottom part (just above the rear bumper) and not the release in the trunk door/hatch.
I want to take apart the housing/casing on the bottom part, but I don't want to destroy it in the process. Does anyone know where I can find a guide or video on this? I've searched around and come up empty.
Also, does anyone have any insight into what might be wrong? Thanks!
