04 Maxima Crank but no start!
04 Maxima been in the repair shop for a few days now. They replaced transmission, rear main seal, motor mounts, timing chain cover, cam sensor, o2 sensor, and sparks plugs. The car was running fine and strong after the repairs. Then we put gas in the car and downhill she went. The car continuously sputter then finally stalled out and never started again. Cranks all day but will not start, so back to the mechanic. The Mechanic says there's a lost in spark but all the coil packs are good and the fuel lines are sending fuel properly. They think it's electrical. Any suggestions would be helpful! At this point they reset the ecu, no luck with that. They cut a wire that was connected to the navigation system somehow and the car started and ran for a test drive but then stalled out again.
Tomorrow going to get another transponder key made, the original transponder key is in bad condition. Hopefully that's the culprit to this starting issue.
PLEASE HELP! WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS MAXIMA?

Update- possible faulty IPDM
OK, went to see the mechanic and he said he thinks it's the IPDM (Intelligent Power Distributor Module). This is the fuse box located under the hood next to the window wiper fluid on the passenger side. He said when he tap on the IPDM, the car would start. He tried to replace the ignition relay and no luck with that so we're getting a new IPDM and replacing the whole unit. I'll keep u updated on what happens with that.

I believe you are the first to have this problem that I have seen so far. It is good to see you got it resolved though. Bad time of the year to have to deal with car trouble.
