Help New Trans Problems

Hi everyone. I am new here and was hoping someone could help me with my problem. I have A 07 Maxima that had the trans replaced under the extended warranty. When I got the car back it seems like the engine is turning excessive RPMs in relation to the speed of the car. Specifically 2000 RPMs at 50mph and 2250 RPMs at 60 mph. The dealership is telling me this is right but it does not feel the same as it was and seems high. Can anyone check their 2007 for me?

05 Maxima's have a normal trans. 07 and up have CVT trans.
I will drive my 07 tomorrow and post.

I have a appt. at the dealer on the 15th for a trans problem. What was the problem with yours?

The trans in my car went completely bad. It started with some very hard thumping while changing gear ratios and got progressively worse. 106K miles. There was no doubt it was bad. Thanks for the road test. That did help me with my concern. Good luck with your trans.

Mine is not that bad yet just some light thumping when starting off or light acceleration
