Occasional momentary loss of power on highway
Occasional momentary loss of power on highway
2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE 300,000 miles.
I know it is a Maxima forum, but same engine and whatnot.
This has only happened 3 days in the last maybe 3 weeks, and only about 3-4 times within maybe 20 minutes then it is nonexistent. Car just jolts for a split second like it ran out of gas or stalled.
At first I thought very low fuel since it happened to be in the red light area, but it did it today with a full tank. Had a tune up at 200k, new timing chain(correcting that clattering tensioner problem) at 180k. Transmission is used has about 110k on it total. No engine light on, though I am going to scan it tonight just out of curiosity.
Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like CSP sensors are going. This happened to me. No codes at first. Then it spit them out a few days later. If it is, recommend replacing with OEM only. Will save you in the long run.
