Opinions on purchase?

Curious to get some opinions on a possible purchase. I've read through the stickies and...to be honest....they're pretty disorganized.

Did these cars have the floor rust issues the Altimas did?

I've read a few places some of the VQ's had timing and or/tensioner issues?

I've got a 5.5 gen 6spd max, but wouldnt mind picking up a 6th gen.

Just based on the blue book of the car, also considering the bumper cover and fender need to be replaced, without knowing anything about how well it runs, I'd offer well under $3000, and not pay a dime over $2800, assuming the test drive didn't present any issues. That said, I'd still probably walk. 120k miles on a stick shift, there's going to be a lot of work needed, could cost well more then the car is worth, considering BB is only around $3000.

What do you mean by "120K on a stick shift"? Assuming its been abused? It's been for sale for a while so I'd certainly try to lowball...

Think about it, most people get into these with standard transmission because they like to race, or are otherwise tough on the car. So you'd have to be prepared for major repairs, clutch, transmission, brakes may be worn out, engine could be in trouble...If you wanted to make this a track car, and didn't care about all the repairs to get it hauling a$$, then this would be a great find. However if you're looking for a reliable daily driver that won't costs as much as a new car with all the repair work needed to keep it running...you get what I'm saying right?
