04 maxima I can't find the a.c. compresser wire clutch won't kick in plz help!!

I have a 04 maxima and the alternator was changed and the wire got ripped out to the a.c. compresser now I don't know where the wire was in the first place because the car was bought with that problem and I discovered the missing wire. The plug is in the compresser still but where does the other end of that wire suppose to go I have looked for hours and looked online and I seem to be the only one with this problem plz help thanks
