2004 maxima is in safe mode

2004 maxima is in safe mode
hi , recentlyhad my check engine light come on while driving, it starting blinking rapiding then stop, i took the max to autozone to have the codes reteive. the rep stated it was the throttle body and ignition coil for the third position. i replaced the throttle body and the ignition coil. i did the relearn procedure for the throttle body. my maxima starts revs up when i shift the gears to drive it hits hard. the maxima takes reverse fine, yet when i attempt to drive it doesnt go past 15mph. i also noiticed that the gear is stuck in fifth. please please can anyone suggest as to what is going on. how can i get my maxima out of safe mode
