Timing chain questions

Ok, I know our vq35’s have a tensioner problems. Well mine finally took a s*** and know I’m going to start the tare down and looking for any advice for others who have done the swap before. Where did you get the kit? Did it have any slap? I work for oreillys and can grab a cloyes timing chain kit for 356 dollars. Anyone found anything that was a little stronger than factory? Also, taking head off to insure the valves didn’t get hurt, my question with that is. Had anyone ported and polished on of our heads? If so, what’s the specs? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks fellas.

while in there also inspect oil gallery gaskets, its becoming more and more common on the newer vq's 09+ but it also happens on the later model 02-08 as well.
