I have a 2004 Maxima 5-speed auto with approximately 180k miles that has a slight stumble or hesitation when you apply full throttle. Here is what has been done to the car recently:

• Timing chain replaced a 2nd time due to slack guide failure
• Injen intake
• TB & MAF have been cleaned - this did help somewhat, but did not eliminate the issue
• Spark plugs replaced at around 140k miles (during 1st timing chain job)
• Throttle Position relearn procedure has been performed many times with no net change
• Replaced rear bank 1 pre-cat thinking it could be plugged, but that also made no change

Below is a link to a video of exactly what happens when applying the throttle. In the video, you can hear the engine slightly bog momentarily, then rev normally in response to pushing the accelerator to the floor. The car has no codes (I have a Autel Maxidiag that reads engine, ABS, and trans codes). The throttle position sensor appears to be recognizing the full throttle being applied, but I am not sure that the TB is reacting quickly enough to the input? Any thoughts on my next step?

Sounds normal to me!

 

See if you still notice it with the stock air intake resonator and snorkel.

Mine hesitates a little off the line but I figured it's bc I removed all that.
