Delayed shift, hard downshift

Hello. My 04 Maxima is acting up. The ses light comes on and it has a hardh shift from 3-2 downshift and has delayed shifting also. The shop said i need to replace the transmission. Any other less expensive solutions?

Search the forum for the transmission topics as there was quite a bit of discussion about the kit which fixes a lot of issues.

If it's a hard shift between gears it's a chance your solenoids are caked up. DO not replace your throttle body, just remove the solenoids and clean them out.
