Help and advice needed please.

I recently bought a 2007 nissan maxima SE with 148,000 miles on it. I have always been a maxima guy and wanted the 6 generation. I drove to atlanta to test it out and notice it burned a little more gas than it should, I live in Raleigh, NC by the way. I recently had surgery so I wasn't able to get the car check by a knowable mechanic before the warranty expired. The check engine light came on and I felt the power to the car wasn't all there. I got it checked and the codes were P0300/ random misfire. P0102/ MAS. P0113 intake air temperature Sensor 1 circuit High Input. So I started it one afternoon and it was stuttering like crazy and running rough. I got extended coverage just in case. Had it towed to nissan. Was told I needed a tuneup and back brakes with I knew. 285.00 for them just to tell me that. For them to do it was 2000 grand which I would never do and I don't have money like that. I got a tune up. It also said #4 cylinder was misfiring as well. I got a guy to do the plugs and I only replaced #4 coil. No I didn't want to replace just 1 it makes no sense all should be replaced but I was low on funds. After tuneup idle was high and took way to long to get the proper temp. I notice rpm will dip when stopped at times. I replace the MAF and it ran well for a little bit, but soon the rpm continue to dip when stopped. I decided to replace the air filter and notice that the airfiler was put in upside down, lol. So I thought this solves the problem because the light went off right away. Light back on with P0300/. P0300/ P0174. If anyone can help with advice I greatly appreciate it. And if anyone know a on point mechanic in or near Raleigh NC that would be great. Happy Year to all and God Bless.

I'm no expert, but could it be your fuel pump/filter/injectors? I'd start by replacing your fuel filter first just because it's an easy task and often times is neglected anyways (and it's cheap). Past that I'd take it to a well-reviewed mechanic for diagnosis and ask them to check the fuel systems.

Good luck man!

I think P0174 holds the key to your issue. Download the FSM and check it out.

He does a good job. Note that his codes are P0171 AND P0174 (bank 1 and 2) so yours will most likely be either an 02 sensor (only bank 2, broken Cat, or Fuel line/injector. I am leaning to the latter as the p0300 is a generic misfire (misfire on multiple cylinders) and as you just did a "tune up" (You said plugs so I am assuming ALL the plugs) Maybe a wire not back on correctly?
