2007 into autocrosser

I have a 2007 SE with a broken CVT that I don't want to fix. I was thinking about turning it into a project racer because it's just sitting next to my garage collecting bird****. I was thinking about swapping the CVT (which is already broken) for a manual, stripping the interior, removing the ac, etc. Has anyone here attempted this swap, specifically the transmission? Do I need to have a different ECU or ECU flash? Will the manual bolt directly to the engine? This is the first day I tossed around the idea of doing this, so is it even feasible?

TIA.

You pretty much want to just mimic everything i did mod wise plus stripping (keep in mind what class you want to compete in... Some mods I did aren't allowed)

To save weight I suggest going single exit, I doubt you'll be enjoying the low rpm bonus of a dual vs. single, just keep the rpms up during autox.... Or hell build a dual 2.25 sytem and keep it in 2nd gear the whole time.... idk depends on how fast you go... Maybe leave the car stock power wise until you get the hang of your local courses.....

I'm pretty sure the upper oil pan should work, the only issue is exhaust but since you're 07 already you're fine.

Other than that I already gave you the basics to have a good autocrosser in my build thread lololol.
