AC not holding a charge.

So my Maxima won't blow cold, started a few weeks ago. I replaced the high and low side lines over a year back and it's been fine til recently.

Replaced the expansion valve cause I did see some oozing there. Tried charging via the gauges, never got above 10 psi. Techs at a few shops said, without hesitation, evap core. I've tried looking up how to on evap core and I find things for Altimas, or Maximas around my year, but not my year specifically.

I saw a post that indicated the evap core is not built into the heater core and is easier to deal with.

Is that true? ( I hope so!) And how do you replace it? I can't find anything specific to a 2007 Max.

I have not put dye in the system to look for leaks. Considering the gauges barely moved trying to add freon I'm not sure the due would do any good.

This pic shows where your evap core is located. Probably best to put the dye to her or you might be chasing snakes in the grass.

Again, considering how many O-rings are involved...might be best for the dye.
