I mentioned this a few pages back and got now answers. So i traced it down. When the switch is set to.door and you see the glow the bulbs have power on one side and a slight geound signal on the other.that is caused by the door pins looking for a trigger.its just harmless feedback. When you turn the switch off that one side of the bulbs has no power so it wont.matter what feedback crom the pins it sees.i do think that this could shorten the life of the leds.2 of mine went bad already.out if five leds on one bulb one worked and two flicked til they died.

Everyone do me this favor.time to time pop the lens off the rear ceiling lights and make sure all 5 leds are lit.lets see if we see a pattern going on.

Oh,and if it bothers you just take the light out and insert a diode on line on the wire to stop the feedback. This may also be helpful for anyone that has a aftermarket alarm installed and is.seeing false trigger issues.

I'd like to get a feel from people who have had these lights in for a while. Which brand of lights do you recommend and why? It seems Auto Illumination are the most expensive, but are they superior to the rest? I'm just trying to figure out which company to buy from. Thanks!

Oh, and have any of your lights burned out? What brand?

Here's what I got.I bought the Ebay LED Maxima 180 kit. They look perfect and it was a great price.BUT,I now have been having a few fail and have to send them back.Example of the failure wouldbe: My 194 style LED has 5 LED's on 1 bulb.Out of 5 3 of them will die out and or flicker. So I am sending back 3 more today for replacements.Well see how it goes with the seller.

Thanks for that info. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking to hear.
Anyone have any failures on the bulbs from Auto Illumination? I'm kind of leaning towards that right now. I'm willing to pay a premium for bulbs that last.

When I had them, I had a couple go out. But he had sent me like 6 spares. So, I would just swap them out. But I ended up taking them all out and replacing with 15 led circuit boards. Talk about it being bright now. That is the way to go if you want BRIGHT light.

LEDs

I just got my interior lights from V-LEDs. They are awesome. Nice clean white light makes it all look clean. I just ordered the first set of lights for my exterior conversion. I will keep them posted on my profile till I start my own thread.

I ordered my LED's from an Ebay seller named "LEDBULBZ" because I saw him mentioned in another place in this forum. It's been 4 days I've received no responses, no shipping or tracking info, nothing. After 1 more day I'll be cancelling and ordering from someone who can handle the orders.

Regarding the glove box light...you actually have to remove the glove box assembly from the dash. Remove 5 screws from inside the box and 3 screws from the outside bottom lip of the box. Close the glove box door and prepare to pull the entire assembly straight out.

Now when I did mine, I had to reef really hard to get it to pop out. When it did come out, the end cap (called the "instrument panel side mask" in the FSM) on the passenger's side end of the dash popped off as well. I missed that it should have been removed before the box. Luckily, there was no harm done.

The end cap just pops off by the usual method of slipping a butter knife under the edges and prying up.

When the glove box assembly is out, the light socket is accessible. By the way, don't pull the box completely out, just enough to access the light socket.

Reassembly is pretty straightforward. Look for the guide pins on the side of the box and line them up with the corresponding holes in the dash frame...and push.

I did 14 LED's on my car: the first 13 took about 10 minutes, this last one took about 20 counting time staring at the FSM. By the way, the info is on page IP-13 of the manual. There is a link to it on the stickies if you don't have it yet.

Good luck!

Ray Ray you gotta remove the whole glove box and replace the light that way. You can pop off some plastic trim on the side of the glove box (held on with just clips) and start undoing the screws that hold it all in

Do not purchase any LED interior kits - not from us, not from anyone til you have a chance to sample our latest creation.

Using the latest LED technology, it's actually brighter than our Orion V2, which is very hard to believe. It's brighter than our existing V4, also very hard to believe.

This may well be the single brightest interior kit ever produced to this date.

And it's not about how it looks, because thousands upon millions of interior LED bulbs look the same (festoon, T10, T5, etc.) but it's the technology built into this kit that is amazing.

This last photo shows the 'standard' LED that is available from many vendors as their "HIGH OUTPUT" offering. Notice you can make out each individual LED.

problem with regular bulbs is they aren't that bright and when you put them inside a housing with a fuzzy looking cover/filter in front of them, they become even less bright than stock, though they look good.

this provides you stock lighting or better, but is not overly bright.

Umnitza LED's are amazingly bright and well made. Here's a pic of their Orion V2 angel eyes...you seriously can't find quality higher than this. I didn't know they made interior LED's and if I didn't already have some I'd jump on em.

search for "Radiance" on our site and you'll be able to get each individual high powered LED to suit what you want.

I would also like to see a 'kit' put together for our cars, with kit pricing. We all know how to pick the individual lights but it would be nice for the vendor to provide us with the 'kit' option save a little scratch.

we'd be happy to - if anyone wants to expedite and send us a photo of the full bulb set, we'll get it done even quicker.

Hi..
I am trying to get LED lights but cant seem to find a good source. It seems like the V-Leds link in the thread says that they are out of stock.
Does anybody knows a site where I can buy some for my max..

Thanks
