Ok so Im a noob and I've finally decided on TSW Jarama wheels. Now my question relate to the more technical side of things. I want to get 22s and the come in sizes 22 x 9 and 22 x 10.5. I dont want to stagger them i dont think and I want them to sit flush. So do I go with the 22 x 9s or will the 10.5 fit on the front and back. I like the deep dish look and thats why I dont know which to get and what kind of tire set up i need. Thanks for your help guys!

Has anybody put the 370z wheels on the 7th gen max yet. Sometimes you can get a really good deal on them.

I have 22 by 8.5s with 35 offset and it's a very tight fit with wheel turned. The TSW's are 9s and 40 offset so I'm not sure if there's enough room. If you're ordering them I'd try to find a shop willing to do a test fit unless you can find someone that are running those wheels.

the service guy is very shortsighted. you get two sets of fronts as you really don't want staggered wheels anyway.

Still a work in progress.... I am going to smoke the head and taillights. I don't know about lowering the car as it has scrubbed the front a couple of times already. But a new brake upgrade is being shipped as I type.

Anyone who added after market rims to their ride want to unload their 19's and tires? Have a 2010 with luxury package and 18's but want the 19's.

I'm leaning towards the AXIS ANGLE's 20" staggered rims(9" front 10" rear) in MATTE BLACK on my 2010. I'm slightly colorblind(truthfully!) and I'm not 100% sure if the matte black rims will go with the CRIMSON BLACK color of my max. Any thoughts on this?? I'm gonna do the Eibach Pro-kit too.....Also, what offset will fill the well nice? Im looking at ET40 front and ET25 rear offsets

Go with black rims with polished lip. It will give a little bit of contrast IMHO. All black is boring.

That car looks sweet, but it probably rides like crap. I see cars this low all the time and while they look damn near perfect, the ride must be completely ruined. Is that true?

You gotta set your preference right. If you wanna sacrifice comfort for performance then you will have a crappy ride. If you want a good or better than stock handling and keep the stock ride feel, forget lowering springs, upgrade sway bars, install good strut bars.

Any chance my current wheels will fit on a Maxima. I have heard mixed reviews about running a staggered setup on a non-staggered FWD car. I would love to keep my wheels.

Here is a pic and specs
Volk SF-Winning
FRONT 19 x 9.5 +19
REAR 19 x 10.5 +29

thanks bro.. rotating tires may be a problem for some.. but these wheels are only for the summer.. when winter comes back to factory.. so that should not be a huge problem for me... i have the staggered look now for a while and so far so great!!!!

No. Wrong offset.

I'm currently running +15mm spacers into my +50 OEM 18" S rims. This means I have +35 offset and it is now flush with the fenders. Your offset will make the rims stick out even more.

To your knowledge would you say +30 could fit.

All I know is that at +35 offset, my tire sidewall is almost flush with the fender... maybe a 30 percent sidewall or strech the tire.

Yes, it does.

Could someone please tell me what spacers do? Does it move the wheel outward from the axel?

Thanks.

I am using 15mm adapters on all four corners. It gives the car wider stance, aggresive looks, and good looks.

Thanks guys.

astigracing, I searched for a pic of your car, but couldn't find one. Would you mind posting a link or pic so I can see what the 35 offset looks like?

I always thought the wheels had to be inside the fender if your car is lowered?

Thanks.

Did you get the 19s after the fact?
If yes how much did they set you back?

Thanks!

I'll post pics for you buddy.

I have no plans lowering my Maxi, but you're right, your tires must have clearance from the fender if you want to lower it more than an inch.

One last final cabin filter thread.

Lets kill this beast once and for all. Done the searches, very conflicted.

Just where the heck is the cabin air filter located on a 2009 Maxima??

I just pulled out the passenger side of the center console and did not see anywhere a filter might go.

FYI too: Rockauto says 2009 needs (24857) (same as 2008)
The Wix website says 2009 needs (24870).
So Rockauto is having the same Fram problem with Wix numbers.

So now I ship 6 filters back! Nice.

Anyone actually change their 2009-2010 cabin filter?? Gods I hope my eyes aren't going bad.

Thanks (while coughing from bad air).

It's not behind the glove box? Remove the whole glove box, that's what I do on the 07 I drive. Would be suprised to see it anywhere else on the 7th gen...

It's in the installation instructions stickies with pictures...

And if you look up the # for 09 Altima, I believe it's been said to be the same one. Do not get a "fancy" one like the pureair charcoal ones, etc, you have to 'crush' it to fit it in the opening.
