On front-wheel drive cars, which already tend to understeer, putting a wider tire on the back is a detriment to handling. 90% of the braking, all of the power delivery, and most of the weight-bearing is being done by the smaller tires. The overworked front tires give up first when pushed, and the car wants to plow straight ahead, inspite of the steering input telling it to turn.

Looks good but it would look better with 245/40 in front. 245/35s are shorter than stock.

It looks like the rears are past the fender, is that the case or just picture angle?

Question on the above wheels... How well does the machined face stand up to salt and road grime in the winter? are they cleared?

and do you think since the wheels are only 8-8.5" wide i could fit a 225 or 235 width tire on it to reduce rolling resistance and improve MPG...?

I found Sunny SN3870 235/35/20 for $75 each. Total with shipping for $380. Reviews on Sunny tires seem to be great all over the internet...

I have sunny 3800 tires only cuz the wheels came with them, they have good traction but let me warn you, they are LOUD! ESPECIALLY under braking holy crap I mean it sounds like a jet engine winding down inside the cabin, no joke.

Ok so I am reallyin leaning towards the TSW Jarama in 22, what specs can I run? will the 22 x 10.5 rims fit or do I need to go with the 22 x 9. Im also thinking about the Sneakerton but they dont come in black so I would have to pay extra to get them painted.

For the front with a 9 probably +40 to +45 offset. For a 10.5 in the back. I beleive you need around a +50.

On my car. I have 22x8.5 with +35 offset.
