How much did you pay? *New car shopper*

Thanks for the welcome.
You did see the location, right? It doesn't get below 40 degrees here for more than a week or so in January.
We did not add anything to the car that wasn't on it. Christy wants to add the rear spoiler to it and get the windows tinted, so that should do it. I think the sticker was around $34,500 like you said, so I think we did ok.
We have had a Nissan of some sort for the last 10 years, from a Patrol, a couple Altimas, a Frontier, a couple Maximas, to the Titan they are all great vehicles.

The knew you didint need that 1k, they were just soing that to see if you would give them more money. The only reason the waived it is because you asked questions. I think you shopuld go for this deal if it's true, but ask for 1k back, because u shouldnt give them 4k to be at 328 a month.

How do you know if your getting a good deal ? If it weren't for others coming on here and posting ??? I know the MSRP, Invoice, can be found, but dealers can be shady about telling you about rebates. And leasing, the formula, which I don't know, you need to know the residual, how do you know if thats not just a made up number they are giving you, or if you can shop that around ???
For example, say the national deal, like back in Jan for me, it was 2995 down, 339 a month, 12,000 miles a year. That was for the MSRP though, so you have wiggle room to get a better deal. How do I know if I wanted a SV with Prem/Tech, that whatever they are throwing at me is good ?

There has to be something they are using to give you their price though. Just going to different dealers will give you a range but it won't tell you how much they are making or adding in the price. When you finance you know what 2.9 % of 30,000 at 60 months will get you. I went to two different dealers and took the better of the deal. My deal also had a lease turn in of 18 months early added into the price as well

For that 18 month lease return, how much was each monthly payment. Thats why your payment is so high, so your deal wasnt that bad at all.

man, reading what you guys are buying your 2010's for, has me frustrated with the price i paid...and i thought i was getting a decent deal...ugh!
I just bought a 2010 SV w/ Sports Package, Monitor pkg, splash guards, floor mats, etc..., in April, on VPP (3.8% off dealer invoice- Looks like VPP is lower in Cincinnati vs Nashville) and paid $33.9k before taxes/ fees, $500 rebate, and money down. Got 0% financing as well. Tried to finagle the price lower but the dealership wasn't having it. Sticker price was $37.3k - laughable but now that I read all of your posts...i'm the sucker getting laughed at by the dealership, for paying $33.9k. Wish i would have been on this forum a few months back. <sigh>

sgirgiss1214- He partially wrote up the contract, with details of 328 a month, 12k for 36 months. He also wrote down the msrp, which was 34xxx. But I don't know if it was a good deal or not so I came here first. My current Maxima was a SE loaded with everything but navi and dynamic control and that was 356 a month with a my 96 TL as a trade in worth 3g.

Hi all,
New to the board. I see a lot of good deals posted in this thread. I tried a few different dealers and the prices i read about here were tough to beat. Here was the best I could do and what I settled on:
2010 Maxima SV Frost with premium and tech package + spoiler. MSRP $39,960 which includes everything you can get on this car.
$1700 total out of pocket which includes tax, title, first payment, etc.
$389 a month with 15k miles AND lifetime oil changes.
I read many no money down deals or just first payment, but could not seem to make that happen in the NJ area. Considering what similar sedans were running for lease out of pockets (Lacrosse, TL, G37x, 3 series) they all required more money down (between 2k - 3k or more) and were in the high fours and the lacrosse in the 5's.
I feel like I got a good deal compared to the others models I looked at and definitely are getting more gadgets and features.

When you say $0 down does that mean the DMV fees (title, registration) and taxes are rolled into this monthly or did you pay those separately?
#1069
This is not just a good deal but a very good deal. Did you do any trade-in at all? If not, then I think you did good for that mileage and oil changes included. You really didn't put much down if you take out taxes, DMV and first payment.

Hello everyone ~ I'm new here but not new to the Maxima! I just got a crimson black 2010 Maxima SV premium package double roof with all the bells and whistles. The only thing my car does not have is the GPS which I didn't care about. I feel I got a good deal (32,300 dealer car/6000 miles) but I feel I got raped on the extended warranty by looking at the forum. I didn't know you could negotiate that. Do I have to keep it? I've only had the car 1 week. I was told that the Nissan warranty was 3 years 35,000 miles. So I extended the warranty to 6 years, 100,000 miles and got the gap deal. I paid like 3000.00 for them. What can I do now? Thanks for your help!

had a black/black 09....beat it up pretty bad..lol had 15 months remaining on my lease and my current buyout was $25,600...Dealer in my area gave me that as trade in value if i leased another vehicle..3000 total out of pocket and 420 a month for a 2010 frost/charcoal sport/tech...thought i got a steal bc i never thought i could drop that lease so soon..had to come back to white..

ouch that must hurt my friend
yes go in and act like your mad at the world but be composed...yes you can. Tell them you now know you got ripped, the wattanty cost them about $500.00, no joke. Not trying to sell insurance, I dont by the way but Geico will extend your warranty for 7 years / 100,000 miles when you insure a new vehicle with them...I have it on both of my Nissans, no extended warranty...ever.

supply and demand
simply put some folks like a car better in certain areas, also, that area may have a higher average household income, better jobs, all of this and more help a dealer to know what they can get, you may want to buy in another area, less jobs, lower income...i did paid 26K for 2010 "S" Maxima with leather...+TTT
