Where do you keep your keyfob?

Just a random poll.... Yep I'm bored...

I keep mine in the cubby hole and my cell phone in the drink holder.

I'm still holding out for my favorite Cell & GPS mounts: http://www.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_an...6-28-278.html#

I love these products I've had a couple with past cars and they really have a nice stock appearance.

I keep mine in my pocket (and voted 'in my pocket'). My wife and I are virtually always both in the car together, and she also keeps her fob in her pocket. We alternate driving, and snce both have a fob, either can leave the car and go to the restroom, etc, while the other stays in the car, and no shuffling of fobs takes place, and we never have to remember to grab the fob when leaving the car.

Exactly where the designers probably intended: my pocket. It gets royal treatment too, nothing goes in my right pocket except for the keys.

The fob/keys goes in my left front pocket, unless i forget to stick it in my pocket before I get in, then it goes to the docking port.

My cell phone stays in it's holder on my side. Got to love the Bluetooth in this car.

I voted for "in my pocket" I am curious as to why it would be anywhere else other then your pocket? Isn't the point of the keyless system to not have to remove the keys from your pocket?

Not a 7th Gen, but my 5th Gen fob goes on the same ring with my '08 Mustang fob, in the right front pants pocket and separate from the rings with the keys to any of our cars. Makes it lots harder to lock yourself out that way (and I'd rather remain self-sufficient than rely on AAA or locksmiths to cover for anything that's my own stupid fault).

Phone normally lives in the left front pants pocket, if it isn't being used or recharged. Shirt pocket on occasion.

You probably wouldn't believe the detailed "normal pocket inventory" if I posted it.

I would keep it in my pocket if not for the several keys I have on it for everything else that isn't keyless in my world. Wishing for a Nissan Intelligent Key for my house, office, mail box, etc...

Lol, don't we all wish that damn house lock was keyless. I guess I just don't trust myself enough to grab the keys from anywhere else other then my pocket hense why I put them in my pocket after I use them

I pocket mine as well. BTW ... they make a deadbolt lock set that integrates a fingerprint reader. Perfect for the kids.

As a die hard jeans wearer I keep it in the watch pocket (the little pocket above the right pocket). That way it is out of the way and does not get banged around with all the other stuff I carry.

After my dealer had finished with my (free) oil change today, I signed the paperwork and went out to the car. I looked everywhere for the key fob before finding it in the intelliport beneath the lower left side of the dash. It makes sense that they would keep it there during service, as nobody ever has to keep track of it.

Odd that it wasn't either brought to the counter or handed to you on your way to the car by the lot attendant (or the technician?) who brought the car up to customer parking.

Well, my choice isn't on the list and personally for me I feel that it is a big mistake to leave the keyfob in your car.

I keep mine hook onto my keyring that is then hooked onto my beltloop, this way I don't have to worry about if I have it with me or not, of course I wear a uniform being in the U.S. Army and all so I have to keep it hidden.

Exactly, but I used to keep it in my back pocket and I busted the thing.

Don't you guys think that is totally stupid to leave your Keyfob in your car?

All anyone has to do if it is left in your car is walk up and open the door and when they get in they just simply step on the brake and push the button and your car is now their car.

Anyone who is careless enough to do this is either very naive about the world we live in or has a written guarantee from everyone in the world that nobody will steal their car no matter where it is.

Either carelessness or vanity.

Many of the 30-somethings I know just drop all manner of personal effects pretty much anywhere with little regard to consequence. Keys, cash, wallets, phones, doesn't seem to matter.

A couple of somewhat older guys, fifty-ish or so, don't like having their pockets show a bulge and/or are afraid of creating a hole in the pocket itself.

I'm not making any of this up.

I think the poll was in relation to location of the fob while you are driving the car. I pretty much assumed that it was retrieved when exiting the car.

That's one reason I keep it my my pocket. With the push button start, it's too easy forget the fob if I put in the center cubby.

Not so sure about what exactly the Poll was relating to especially when you read the choices:

Where do you keep your keyfob?
In the cubby hole
In my pocket
Inside center armrest.
In the center drink holder
Driver side door beverage holder
Behind the sunvisor
On passenger seat
My Wife has it... :-(

Maybe he was only speaking about while you're operating/driving the car or maybe he meant only "in general".

The best thing is just to keep it on your person somewhere and you'll be fine, I'm over 35 and it doesn't bother me to keep it in my pocket, I also keep my wallet in my back pocket and I don't care about the bulge or getting a hole in my pants (if you're pants are that damn cheap and you drive a 35K plus Max then you need to sell your car and buy better pants).

I guess my own filter was running when I read the poll. I just thought the original poll was too silly to think it referred to storing the key in the car.

Maybe there should be two polls:
1) Where do you keep the key fob when you're in the car?
(choices above)

2) Where do you keep the key fob when not in the car?
Pocket; desk drawer; counter; key hook; key safe; I leave it in the car; I love my new Maxima so much that I never leave it, ever.

Once we arrive home in the Maxima, my wife and I immediately hide both fobs inside our home, because we will almost always be using a different vehicle the next day. If any punks break into our home, they will have only minutes before the sheriff's deputies arrive, so won't have time to hunt for the fobs. Grab my TVs, etc. if you must, but hands off my Maxima.

I have a clip, like the climber ones, and I just attach it to my belt loop. That way it takes up no pocket space and I even forget it's there!

The funny thing is when I drive my car I put it on my right side. But when we drive the Rogue I attach it to my left side...i didn't think anything of it till i noticed one day that I had them both on me.

If it's not in my pocket, I use the intelliport on the left hand side. I actually use the port a lot.

Does no one else use the port??
