There was a link with a picture of another CAI on here today, posted by MaximaOrg (and it was removed shortly afterwards)...did anyone else see that? Why would that show up on here, is that the administrator, or just a member trying to stear people away from the R2C???

Ya know... honestly, the tube is soooo short, paying the extra $ for the black nickle really is kind of a waste.

Thanks for the reply.
Man, there is so many posts on this thread, I do not mean to be lazy, could you repost please!

As far their site, there is no info about it other than call to place the order, unless I missed something.

Thakns again...

Overall, I'm please with the system. It offers Maxima owners a quality
system that enhances intake sound when performance acceleration is called
for without the annoying hiss associated with competitive systems equipped
with gauze filters. At normal cruise, it's rather subtle and allows for a
pleasant cabin without any objectionable roar. Power gains are very good
with increases occurring relatively early in the RPM band. While high single
digit increases won't dramatically change the performance of this platform,
it's certainly a benefit when you combine the gains with a great audible
tone, very nice under hood appearance, easy installation and the best
synthetic filter a Maxima can be equipped with. It makes no sense to seek
performance benefits and additional engine note while compromising engine
protection or buying a product that involves cleaning and oiling as required
and necessary maintenance. Plus, R2C system owners won't spend a penny on maintenance and the filters will last as long as the car. Unlike any
competitor, R2C filter technology actually improves upon the efficiency of
the OEM filter

I'm a little unsure of the price. Is this going for 289 for the base black finish? 349 for the black nickel?

Discreet pricing again. That's what "individual approach" means .

Here is a quote from Ed's email:

We use actual UPS shipping charges. The systems weigh 12 Lbs.

Ed

If you are the first one to get yours, we are hoping for a quick review, some pics, and a video. It would help the rest of us out who are still deciding to buy it or not. Thanks in advance

Hey Guys..
well as some of you members know my engine covers is painted anodized blue and i want to keep that same theme with my intake. Ed sent me a picture of a anodized red finish sample and he said the anodized finish will be cheaper than the black nickel if anyone is interested on that finish. i ordered the black powdered finish which i will be getting from UPS tomorrow but i will be turning mine to anodized blue finish to match my engine
Here's the pic from Ed
