Funny..I jsut called the dealership --I was "curious" to see how much JUST the installation would be and he siad it takes 2.5 hrs for $244--LOL

CRAZY!

I wanted to make sure my "afterhours" guy that works there was being "fair" in his price quite.of under $100... They are CRAZY...

He said thay were "extra careful" and "take their time" so that the car isn't scratched

You should not get the spoiler. The more cars out there without, the better my car looks.

Yep I see it $120 for labor... they said it was 2.5 hrs here..I seriously doubt it...I might check out a couple of the other dealership serve depts to see what they are charging...they are crazy....with that price...

& thats why they have a "bad" name for even trying that BS

they never removed the third brake light from inside the car? if i was you, for that price I would have made them include the inside third brake light delete panel! now you have 4 brake lights.

I just got my spoiler installed by the dealer on Monday, they didn't remove the third brake light either, but actually i like having an extra brake light it looks good on the max IMO, makes your car stand out and noticeable in a nice way.

It is removable, it just snaps into the back window shelf deck. Then there is a "color coded to your interior" carpeted blank panel that replaces it and snaps back in.

When your dealership is on the ball this will be part of the "dealer-after thought install process".

When I had mine done. The dealer kept the "3rd" brake light at first. I went back into the shop area and got it back from the tech. So thus I can now go with or without the "4th" brake light.

Here is a screenshot from mynissanparts.com and http://www.mynissanparts.com/p-346-2...r-spoiler.aspx

It shows you the items needed for a "proper install".

You pick your Spoiler based on Color. Then the CHSML Cover or "blank panel" as I mentioned above, based on your interior color. And then you need the Wire Harness and Weatherstrip.

This cover takes the place of the third brake light in the back window after you add a rear spoiler and remove the window brake light. .Nissan Maxima 2009-2013 e-mail me if you need it. eagleye625@aol.com

I have before and after pics if interested.
Yup, this. I bought mine for about $130ish plus shipping, fully painted off ebay (I know, not the best place to find parts). Look up OEM style rear spoiler. Took me about 3 hours. I had to psyche myself up to drill into the trunk Just take your time lining everything up and make sure you have the right tools before starting. Drilling through the hull is easy. It's the trunk frame that gets tricky.

This is a good video that'll give you an idea of what to expect.
