Daylight Savings Time

Did anyone's 7th gen clock change correctly this weekend or do the 7th Gens still have the old dates for DST?

I had to manually change the time in mine. Didn't expect any different though. I assume that must be a Navi thing.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed, what with all the GPS this and satellite that. I really thought the clock would adjust itself - and maybe even tell me it had done so. Heck, my clock-radio did that much.

I had to uncheck the DST box on mine. I guess Nissan hasn't gotten with the whole satellite clock thing.

I lived in AZ for several years 'way back when', and NOT changing actually was annoying, in that twice a year we were suddenly out of sync with THE REST OF THE WORLD.

I don't see the logic, your always going to be out of sync with the other time zones with or without a time change. I've lived all over the country and I prefer not changing my clock.

Yeah, but you're out of sync with YOUR OWN time zone...

I actually asked a poorly stated question....my apologies to all.

I MEANT to ask if any of the 2010 models still had to manually enable/disable DST as opposed to the 09s.

Change wasn't a big deal considering that there is a "Day light savings time" option in the menu that you select to quickly change.

I was in frequent contact with Air Force Direction Centers scattered across the country (as well as family members from coast to coast), and twice each year, the time difference between AZ and all the places I was calling (or being called by) changed by an hour, sometimes greater, sometimes less.

Even simple little things were annoying, such as twice each year, network and cable TV shows were suddenly shown an hour earlier or an hour later each day in AZ.

Had I been retired, and living on a ranch outside Tombstone, or in Sedona, time changes would have meant nothing. But in the work I was doing, time changes were annoying. A large part of that annoyance was because folks in the rest of the country were often not aware AZ was a maverick state, timewise, so didn't know what time it was in AZ when they called me. Eventually, I gave up trying to explain this to almost every caller.

Yeah I just make it easy, this time of year I tell people were on Mountain Time and the vast majority of the year were on Pacific time. Easy and everyone understands.

Like I mentioned above, I still had to change mine manually. The enhancements to the 2010 models did not cover that.

yeah, I thought that the 2010's would have corrected the problem, but - I had to go in and hit the DST button ... kinda disappointing ... oh well!
