should I?? if so why? Just wondering. Do you have to do this with the Stillen too? with such a small increase the ECU should self adjust right? Not like I put a turbo and a 90mm throttle body. Please give me insight...Thank you sir.

well the reason why i said because i know for the 6th gens , their nismo intake in the instructions it tells you to reset the cars ecu for best performance, and alot guys on here when putting their y pipe did the ecu reset as well, (excluding myself)...so i was just wondering if the same should be done when putting an intake on the 7th gens

For the amount of time it takes to reset (about 5 min) it can't hurt...

Anyone figure out the actual reset procedure? I tried the reset yesterday but it wasn't working (SES) light wasn't flashing and I tried about 6 times. If someone could post a YouTube video of the reset that would be awsome.

just tried the link in the ypipe thread and I could not get the light to blink so I'm not sure if it worked. Is there another indication?

Ya I tried that as well and I was also unable to get the light to blink. It attempted it about 8 times as well and nothing.

I tried several times after I installed my Y-pipe. After about six tries I finally got the SES light to blink.

I followed the instructions posted in thread. One of the problems is the instructions are a little vague. Do not start your engine, push the start button twice without your foot on the brake pedal. This will put the ignition in the on position. The directions tell you to push the pedal. Which pedal? I believe ( if i recollect correctly)I finally figured out they meant the gas pedal! Hope this helps.

Some say the proceedure requires a stopwatch to get the pauses exactly right.

I didn't use a stopwatch just what the individual suggested in the thread. One one thousand, two one thousand,..........

tried it again tonight and no flashing light. did do the gas pedal as it makes sense. The gas pedal has a "switch" under neath it that you can feel. I also notice if your cruising as you crush the gas pedal and hit this "switch" down the car really takes off. What is this??

i had this switch under the gas pedal as well in my altima, if you dont hit the "switch" when mashing the gas pedal to the floor then the car wont redzone, in other words to go wot you must floor it all way down

Here is a Takeda video comparing the stock sound vs. the Takeda sound. Sounds nice!

ok here's my perspective: Mine 09 I thought pulled pretty hard stock with the 18" tires. I switched to 20"s and noticed a drop in performance from the rotational mass turning. I put the intake on and noticed a performance upgrade. Not a whole lot, but I did notice a little. JP

I followed suit, I could't wait any longer. I ordered my AFE Takeda yesterday and it was delivered today. I just installed it and if I had to judge it on sound alone I'm totally impressed. I got it for $219 on Amazon.com. Thanks Killa!!!!!

The one for $219 on Amazon is a 3010P. It fits?? Amazon and AfE says it doesn't. Good find if it works!!!! Should be the 3005P. Did you get the filter cover??

I did the latter and put it in the cart the next day I went to order it and they had dropped the price to $219. It is definitelly the right intake, I received it the next day and installed it.

It does not come with the pre-filter. The cheapest I could find it was from Oddonnellsautoparts.com for $21.16 plus $5.99 shipping. The part number is TP-7011B.
