Did you ever resolve the crashing issue - did you get the update? Just got my 2010 prem/tech last week and have experienced 2 random crashes - was hoping to find a solution to it

My nav system was crashing/rebooting fairly often ... and since the new software has been installed as per the recall, it hasn't messed up once. It calculates and re-calculates routes faster, too!

Thanks - I'll find out soon enough what Nav version I have - you would think that the dealership would have updated the last 2010 Prem/Tech stock they have on the lot?

Nope ,no fix for it yet. I do have the X1U52008 update but it still ssems to have random crashes.I wonder if it could be Bluetooth related? For those who see theres crash are do you have your BT on your phone connected? It wont matter if your on call or not,or streaming music. It just has to be connected.Do you also have a monory stick plugged in or a ipod when it crashes.?I want to narrow it down.I will turn my BT off and not have anything else plugged in when I am not using it,and see what happens.

My iPhone is always connected via bluetooth, or plugged in if it needs a charge. No crashes since the update, and I've put about 3,000 miles on since the update, including a 350-mile road trip.

Same here. No crashes. Only issue I have is when listening to iPhone via the USB, turnig the car off and then back on the iPhone plays for about 5 sec and then just pauses. I have to unplug the phone then plug it back in and it plays again. Not a huge deal but it's the only thing I've noticed.

I have the latest version, as I was hoping that the dealer updated it. I guess since the random crashes is still an issue, we can keep a log here as to what was "on" when it crashed. I know mine crashed when BT phone was connected, XM tuned in and NAV was routing. The second time it happened I was adjusting my power seats - hopefully not connected. I have the 2010 SV Prem/Tech BTW.

This past Sunday my system just crashed n reboted on it's on own 2 times in a row. I always have my iPhone connected via Bluetooth for calls n my girl had her iPod plugged in thru USB.. I think it had something to do with the iPod cuz it never happens when I his have my phone connected thru BT and i also unplugged the iPod n it didn't happen again

Has anyone been able to track down a resolution on this for the 2011? Had it reboot on me a couple months ago while driving, took it in to the dealer - they couldn't find a problem. Last two days, it's rebooted on me while listening to a podcast over bluetooth from my iPhone. Also have an iPod plugged into the USB port.

that's what causes that creaking noise? like when you pull off from a stop light?
