Can someone school me on De-Badging???

So I just got the car back from getting tinted and after looking at the back, I realized I just have to de badge. Now I'm just wondering how you do it and what type of tools are needed. It seems like it would be fairly simple to do but....Thanks in advance!

Theres a couple ways. The way i did was get some fishing line and a hair dryer. I heated the emblems with the hair dryer (For a while I didnt wanna strip the paint). Then pull the fishing line behind it.if you go slow it works good but leaves some glue. I used goo gone and got rid of it all then waxed and clean.

dental floss

wat i did was i juss used dental floss, my finger, and some goo gone.........use the dental floss to de badge the emblems. next i juss used my thumb to rub off the excess sticker thats on there...which i found out to be da easiest way if u rub on direction to roll up the glue to a ball....and finished it off wit some goo gone to take off all the rest of the glue.....O ya and also put some waxing compound n microfiber to the area to remove the residue of the sticker....if u dont do that you could still see the maxima emblem..

I third fishing line and goo-gone. Hair dryer works, but the easiest way I found was to debadge is after work. Since the car has been in the sun all day mother nature did the heating and the emblems will come off like butta and there will be little clean up with the goo gone.

dental floss, so you won't scratch your paint, and some residue remover safe for cars followed by a nice polish

Theres a few ways to do it. Myself I used the hairdryer and fishing line method. As stated be careful with the heat on the paint for too long. If you have any left over residue its said to use 3M adhesive remover and a drivers license, credit card, etc. Although I found out bug and tar remover works well also. When I was finished I hit the area with a rubbing compound. And then it gives you a reason to wax the rest of the car

I have these soft plastic pry tools that i used to slowly lif up on the badges when it was 100 degrees out last week and it left no glue at all .It only left a shadow of it saying maxima so i did a lil cleaner wax and it was gone.I am much happier now that the crooked looking maxima and nissan emblems are gone.

I concur on the fishing line and goo-gone. I actually didn't have glue gone so I used "bug & tar remover" that I had in my garage and it works just the same. I actually preferred using that because I know it would be safe on car finish.

Used the fishing line to remove the letters then I took "Quick Detailer to get the area wet and just started rubbing the sticky stuff off where the letters were.

When I was done I clay-barred the area and then waxed it. I only took off the "MAXIMA" badge so now there's symmetry on the rear of the car.

I would be VERY VERY careful if you were to use the blow dryer you don't want to risk ruining your paint.

I followed many of the same steps abobe, but the only difference is that I used Methanol to remove the glue residue. If you are wondering why I have Methanol, it is the fuel for my Nitro powered R/C truck. I found it worked much better than Goo Gone. Is did leave a slight have on the paint that cleaned right up with a little wax.

I used dental floss, bug & tar remover, and waxed it afterwards. Pics in the link above.
