Engine Compartment?

What do you cover in the engine compartment before washing the engine? Any particular part to be covered?

Old trick is to get your motor hot and leave it running while you wash it... Stay away from electrical and use as little water as possible. Best route to go is to steam clean it...

I actually uncover mine before a wash.

Let me add, I have pressure washed engines for over 25 years and aside from the old distributor days have never taken any special steps to protect anything. I do wait for the engine temp to cool a bit if recently driven however.
